Project Properties
The Project Properties dialog window can be opened for
both Spider Writer projects and
Visual SourceSafe projects.
In both cases, the window can be displayed by highlighing one of the two types of projects
in the Environment sidebar and choosing
the Project Properties command from the
Environment menu.
The Project Properties window allows you to change information about
a project such as title, description and a number of options. The Project Properties
dialog for a Spider Writer project only has a
General tab while the window for a
Visual SourceSafe project
has a General and an Options tab.
General Tab
The Title textbox allows you to specify the name of the project.
This name appears in the Environment sidebar treeview.
The Description textbox is for a description of the project.
You can also specify a root URL for this project in the Root URL combobox.
This root URL is used if you have the
Route all project document previews through the above URL
checkbox checked. This option indicates that whenever you open a document from a project in
Spider Writer and view it in the browser, it will route the preview through the specified root URL.
This is useful if you are working on a project directly off of a web server and use server-side
scripting (such as ASP) in your pages.
See the project fundamentals topic for more information
on this feature.
Options Tab (Visual SourceSafe Projects Only)
This tab displays a number of checkbox options that you can use to customize the Visual SourceSafe
integration features. Check a checkbox to enable the associated option and uncheck a checkbox
to disable the associated option.
